Be Safe When You Vape Abroad With This Travel Advice

Be Safe When You Vape Abroad

With the summer holiday season upon us, it’s certain that some of our valued customers will be thinking about jetting off for a bit of sun. Vaping is becoming largely accepted as a way to give up smoking, but enjoying an e-cigarette abroad can be confusing, as many countries are vague about the regulations concerning their use.
We suggest the following advice if you are planning to travel abroad with your vape kit this year.

Before you go

You need to check the legal status of e-cigarettes where you are headed. Regulations vary from country to country, so it’s important to know the law. In some countries like Thailand, Egypt, Singapore, and Argentina vaping is banned, so you could end up having your e-cigarette confiscated or paying a hefty fine if caught vaping there, in extreme cases you could be sent to jail.
Other places like Australia, New Zealand and some Scandinavian countries have restricted use, particularly if you use a liquid containing nicotine. In the USA restrictions vary from state to state.
It is critical to research where you are traveling to, to make sure you don’t fall foul of the law.

As the popularity of e-cigarettes has taken off, many vapers have been left uncertain of the rules about using their e-cigarettes on board planes, particularly if they don’t create clouds of vapour. The UK’s most popular airlines; Ryanair, Easy Jet, British Airways and Thomas Cook do not allow vaping on their planes, even in the toilets!
E-cigarettes should be stored in your carry-on baggage; they are strictly prohibited in checked (hold) baggage. This applies for both domestic and international flights.
Check the vaping rules at the airports, not only where you will depart, but also more importantly where you land. Most airports will state the vaping policies on their websites. Currently, using e-cigarettes is banned inside all UK airports.

When making your way through airport security, unpack your kit and scan it separately. Remember to stick to the 100ml liquid rule and pack your e-liquid in the clear plastic bags. Larger bottles can be packed into your hold luggage. Again, research your destination, as e-liquids that contain nicotine are banned in some countries. If you stick to the general rules about what is and is not permitted to take through security, you should not encounter any difficulties.

Whether you’re heading off for a long-weekend city break or a month long backpacking trip you’ll need to consider what hardware to bring along with you. We recommend a removable battery device with a separate charger, or two batteries if you’re travelling for a longer period of time. Batteries and Power Delivery

Make sure you have enough e-liquid with you to last until your return. Many foreign countries don’t have the same level of content safety testing for products that we have in the UK, so stock up here before you go with your favourite Electro flavours to guarantee quality standards have been adhered to.

Local attitude

Attitudes towards vaping in the UK are fairly liberal but be prepared to deal with different opinions when travelling abroad. Cloud chasers may experience some confused glances from the locals so try and gauge the situation before chasing huge clouds. Vaping is now regarded as a much safer alternative to smoking. Unfortunately, not all countries are as forward thinking as the UK, so vaping abroad can be confusing and the laws and regulations are often unclear and can vary from place to place. It is important to do some research before you go on holiday, so you are armed with the facts to stop any problems occurring. A little time spent researching before you jet off, will mean a relaxing and enjoyable holiday for all.
We value our customers highly so please travel safe during the holiday season.

50ml 0% Nicotine Short Fill E liquid Bottles Now Available With Nic Shots

These 6 exciting new flavours are now available in 50ml 0% nicotine bottles, no need for dozens of 10ml bottles cluttering up your life anymore, well apart from the 10ml Nic shot you will need to add nicotine to your e-liquid to get your desired nicotine strength.

The way this works is like this, you purchase a 50ml bottle of E-Liquid, then if you want it to be 3mg then purchase 1 x 10ml Nic shot here(10ml 18mg Nic Shot) then add that to your 50ml bottle to get 60ml of 3mg nicotine strength e-liquid.

If you want 6mg then purchase 2 x 10ml Nic Shots here(10ml 18mg Nic Shot) add these to your 50ml bottle and you will get 6mg strength e-liquid.

It really is that easy, and so much more eco friendly not to have your life and pockets full of 10ml bottles.

How to Understand the EU TPD, or How To Herd Cats. . . . . . . .

How to Understand the EU TPD, or How To Herd Cats!

The TPD (Tobacco Products Directive) fiasco has been going on for a considerable time, but now we are close to the implementation date when it will be passed into UK law.
The arguments have raged on and on, but we just want to inform our customers how the new regulations will affect their vaping lifestyle.

The main points are:

1) The maximum strength of Nicotine liquids will be limited to 2% (20mg/ml).
2) The maximum size of refill bottles containing Nicotine liquid will be 10ml.
3) The maximum capacity of any tank/clearomiser etc will be 2ml.
4) There will be a transition period between May 20th 2016 and May 20th 2017.

All of the above will have to be tested and notified to the EU in order to gain an EC ID number which will allow them to be sold.
Below this brief explanation is the Guidance page from the MHRA (Medicines & Healthcare products Regulatory Agency) which is
the organisation responsible for implementing the regulations in the UK. Below that is a copy of Section 6 of the statutory instrument
which was laid before Parliament and which forms the new UK regulations.
It’s easy to see just how much bureaucracy and expensive testing of products will be involved in order to keep products on the market
and/or to introduce new products.

Transition Period.

Products falling under TPD Regulations on sale before May 20th 2016 must be notified by November 20th 2016. If they are not notified,
Retailers will be allowed to sell off existing stock until May 20th 2017, but only if it was produced prior to November 20th 2016.
Any products that have not been notified must then be withdrawn from sale on May 20th 2017.

So, the products containing Nicotine, including the larger than 10ml sizes, will remain on sale through to May 20th 2017.

Supplies of higher strength Nicotine liquid (higher than 2% {20mg/ml}) will inevitably begin to run down leading up to May 20th 2017,
as will supplies of Nicotine liquid in bottles with a capacity greater than 10ml; that is of course, unless changes which are being called
for not just by manufacturers/retailers/vapers, but by members of the House of Lords, are introduced.

Advertising and the media.

Virtually all mainstream advertising or promotion of ecigarettes/vaping, TV/Radio/Online, will be banned from May 20th 2016. This was heavily
criticised in a House of Lords debate, Vaping and the TPD discussed in the Lords Grand Committee 10/05/16, a bit long but worth watching.

All in all, you might not see many changes initially, but over the next 12 months, you will see just how disproportionate the regulations are.
